About
Miyako has occupied the intimate basement space of the Andaz London Liverpool Street hotel since the property opened in 2007, and is the only restaurant to have survived subsequent ownership changes — a testament to its enduring quality. Head chef Kosei Sakamoto works closely with local suppliers to source ethically caught fish and seafood, crafting an all-day menu of sushi, sashimi, teriyaki, tonkatsu and bento boxes all made fresh by hand every day. The 28-cover dining room, with its dark-wood interior and Wagasa umbrella ceiling detail, offers a calm refuge from the surrounding City buzz. Miyako holds 1 AA Rosette and has been listed by Forbes among London's top five Japanese restaurants.
