About
Tenmaru opened in November 2019 in Finsbury Park, founded by Alan Tse — who also owns Dotori — following formal culinary training at the Japan Culinary Institute in Tokyo. Housed in a 50-cover space close to Finsbury Park station, the menu spans classic ramen varieties including tonkotsu, lemon, basil, tan tan men and spicy styles, alongside a roster of izakaya snacks such as karaage chicken, gyoza and mochi potato. Tse's Tokyo-grounded approach brings genuine Japanese kitchen discipline to north London, and a second branch opened in Oxford Circus in January 2023. Walk-ins only — no reservations taken.
