About
Ippudo London St Giles opened in October 2014 as the brand's first UK outpost, bringing the globally celebrated ramen of founder Shigemi Kawahara from Fukuoka to the heart of London. Chikaranomoto Holdings, the publicly listed Japanese parent company headquartered in Fukuoka, operates all London locations directly, ensuring an unbroken line of quality from the original 1985 Hakata shop. The restaurant is famous for its signature Shiromaru Classic — a pure, creamy tonkotsu broth with thin noodles — and the Akamaru Modern, enriched with a proprietary miso blend. Ippudo's New York and Hong Kong branches hold Michelin Guide listings, and the London flagship has been featured in the Michelin Guide's editorial content as part of the brand's global story.
