About
INÉ — the Japanese word for the rice plant before harvest — opened in December 2023 as a neighbourhood extension of TAKU Mayfair, which earned a Michelin star just months after opening in 2022. Chef patron Takuya Watanabe has installed head chef Law Kwok Meng, a sushi specialist with 23 years of experience and previously Watanabe's deputy at TAKU, to lead the kitchen. The restaurant offers three dining experiences: an eight-seat omakase counter serving 17 courses at £100 per person (£120 with otoro and caviar), a main dining room with à la carte sushi and Japanese comfort dishes, and a private dining room for up to 14 guests. The same premium Japanese produce used at TAKU is sourced here, making INÉ a remarkable-value portal into Edomae fine dining.

Opened December 2023. TAKU Mayfair is transferring to Sushi Amamoto in 2026; INÉ continues independently.
