About
Master Chef Kenji Yamamoto came up through Shiro Kashiba's original kitchen before opening Shiki in 2001 with his wife Etsuko, who manages the front of house. The restaurant's crown jewel is Chef Yamamoto's rare fugu (blowfish) license — making Shiki one of the few restaurants in North America authorized to serve this celebrated and legally regulated Japanese delicacy. Beyond fugu, the menu spans traditional nigiri, sashimi, and cooked Japanese dishes. The intimate, family-run environment reflects over two decades of Japanese culinary stewardship in Queen Anne.
