About
Masae Fukuyama came from Osaka, Japan, in 1994 and opened Kozue a decade later on Wallingford's increasingly Japan-centric restaurant strip. The menu spans sushi, donburi, ramen, takoyaki, and homestyle Japanese dishes in a cozy setting that has earned loyal local regulars over 20-plus years of operation. The North American Post (2018) identified Kozue as one of the most authentically Japanese home-style restaurants in Seattle. Consistent quality, a welcoming atmosphere, and a popular happy hour make it one of the Northside's most reliable neighborhood Japanese restaurants.
