Michi occupies a modest shopfront at 58 bis rue Sainte-Anne, identifiable mainly by the word 'sushi' painted across the slightly faded window. Behind it, Tokyo-trained chef Hiroshi — a former employee of established Paris Japanese restaurant Takara — prepares edomae-inspired nigiri, sashimi platters, and chirashi over a bar counter. Time Out Paris described Michi as 'the real deal, with products and service in the authentic Japanese tradition.' Set menus are accessibly priced (€27–€33), and the fish quality is consistently praised by regulars. The operation is solo chef-led, so service can be deliberately paced. Japanese regulars are a constant presence.
