About
Opened in February 2026, TSUNARIÉ occupies a spare counter in De Pijp just steps from sibling restaurant Tewatashi. The concept is counter-style kappo — every dish finished and handed directly to the guest at its absolute peak. Chef Takatoku's sushi rice is deliberately loose and warmly seasoned, rooted in three decades of Edomae tradition, while a dedicated wagyu specialist handles Japanese A5 cuts with BMS scores of 11–12, many grilled over live charcoal. The 8- and 10-course menus (€90–€125) represent exceptional value for the ingredient quality. Expect toro nigiri, charcoal yakitori, and wagyu chateaubriand alongside seasonal Japanese vegetables.
Neighborhood & visiting
TSUNARIÉ sits in De Pijp, one of Amsterdam's neighborhoods where authentic Japanese kitchens have taken root. Reservations are available online — for a focused sushi counter this is strongly recommended. Check the posted hours before you go — traditional sushi restaurants often close between service periods.
