About
Kurogi Shanghai opened in 2018 as the first international outpost of Iron Chef Jun Kurogi's legendary Tokyo kaiseki restaurant, famously considered the most difficult table to reserve in the city. Kurogi, a former disciple of the revered Kyo-Aji and winner of the final series of Japan's Iron Chef, brought his uncompromising culinary philosophy to the Bellagio hotel on Suzhou Creek's north bank. In Shanghai, head chef Masanobu Yoshimizu carries the torch: fixed menus at 2,880 or 3,500 RMB span ten courses of premium Japanese produce with occasional Shanghai luxury accents such as foie gras and caviar. The interiors blend Japanese minimalism with the elegance of the Bellagio hotel.
