About
Samurai Mama at 205 Grand St in Williamsburg opened in 2010 as part of Makoto Suzuki's growing Brooklyn Japanese restaurant empire. Suzuki, who is originally from Japan, opened Bozu in 2004 and expanded to several concepts including Samurai Mama and Brooklyn Ball Factory. Heritage Radio Network profiled him in 2019 as a key figure in Brooklyn's Japanese food scene.
