About
Geido at 331 Flatbush Ave has been operated by Japanese chef-owner Osamu Koyama since 1985, making it one of the longest-running Japanese chef-owned restaurants in Brooklyn. Koyama continues to prepare sushi personally behind the counter; the restaurant maintains the same relaxed, dependable character it had at opening. A New York Times City Room post in 2011 documented Koyama at work.
