About
Part of Joji Hattori's World of SHIKI, the Omakase counter at Krugerstraße 15 distils Tokyo omakase culture to its purest form in Vienna. Sushi master Hiroki Takahashi began his career at Palace Hotel Tokyo's KEYAKI restaurant in 2007, spent seven years as chef de partie at Grand Hotel Wien's Unkai, and a further decade as sous chef at Nihonbashi Vienna before joining SHIKI. At the 8-seat counter, he and a second master create the menu à la minute from the day's finest ingredients, with each nigiri and kaiseki course an expression of quiet precision. The intimate space is designed around the Japanese family crest motif Maru ni Mokkō, symbolising unity and completeness.
