Kappo Sato opened in 2022 on Mount Pleasant and quickly earned a Michelin star. Chef Takeshi Sato — formerly of Zen and Yukashi — works a small counter in the kappo style, cooking a seasonal tasting of donabe rice, grilled fish, simmered vegetables, and sushi finish in direct view of his guests. Ingredients are flown weekly from Tsukiji and Toyosu.
