About
Opened on September 9, 2014, Nakatani has held a Michelin star continuously since 2016, making it one of Paris's most reliably excellent small tables. Chef-owner Shinsuke Nakatani arrived in France in 2001 and spent nearly a decade at Hélène Darroze, rising to head chef, before striking out on his own with this 16-seat restaurant on the quiet rue Pierre-Leroux. His cuisine is resolutely French in spirit — seasonal, product-driven, executed with the flair of the finest bistronomie — but informed throughout by the Japanese precision and restraint he embodies. Set menus change every two months: four courses at lunch, six in the evening, always built around luxury produce (black truffle, white truffle, wagyu, caviar, seasonal seafood). In 2021, a four-seat chef's counter was added for an even more intimate plating-and-conversation experience. Bookable via TheFork; average price approximately €137 per person.
