About
Opened in 2022 in a hushed side street near Marble Arch, Roketsu is chef-owner Daisuke Hayashi's love letter to Kyoto's kappo-kaiseki tradition. Hayashi trained at Kyoto's triple-Michelin-starred Kikunoi — one of Japan's most revered kaiseki houses — and subsequently curated menus for Japan Airlines' first-class dining before bringing his craft to London. The restaurant's ten-seat hinoki-clad counter offers a nine-course seasonal tasting menu combining binchotan charcoal grilling, sushi, and meticulously prepared small plates. Roketsu is a selected restaurant in the Michelin Guide UK.
