About
Hideki Abe from Miyagi Prefecture has been a trained chef since 1979 and has operated UDAGAWA in Berlin-Steglitz since the mid-1980s — it is considered one of the oldest Japanese restaurants in the German capital. Together with his wife Misuzu — she handles the hot dishes, he oversees sushi and sashimi — Abe has built a loyal following that values the uncompromising quality of his ingredients and the measured, ceremonial approach to preparation. UDAGAWA is a Berlin original that has remained true to itself for decades.
