About
YASU Omakase opened in January 2026 at Paradise Plaza in Miami's Design District as the most personal project of Chef Yasu Tanaka, who grew up in Yamanashi, trained at the Tokyo Sushi Academy and Ginza Iwa, and most recently served as Master Chef at The Den at Azabu. Seated around a 600-year-old hinoki wood counter, Tanaka and Chef Raymond Li guide just eight guests through a kappo-inspired omakase that marries Japanese craftsmanship with Nordic minimalist aesthetics. The concept is operated by the Spicy Hospitality Group.
