About
With over 900 locations worldwide, Machida Shoten is one of Japan's most recognised ramen brands, specialising exclusively in Iekei — a Yokohama-born style defined by medium-thick noodles in a creamy emulsion of pork bone broth, chicken bone broth, and soy sauce. The Toronto outpost at 326 College Street opened its doors on 28 November 2025 for a soft launch before the grand opening on 12 December 2025. All staff are of Japanese origin, maintaining the chain's exacting culinary standards imported directly from Japan. The restaurant accepts walk-ins and takeout, and reservations can be made via Toast.
