About
Founded in May 2012 by ramen chef Aki Urata, Kinton Ramen was among the first wave of authentic Japanese ramen shops in Toronto. The Harbourfront location at 110 Harbour Street sits steps from the lake, making it a natural pit stop for workers and visitors in the financial and waterfront districts. Executive Chef Urata began mastering the art of ramen in Japan at 19 and brought that expertise to Canada, building a multi-location brand under the Kinka Family hospitality group. Bowls are built around slow-simmered pork bone broth with house-made noodles, and the menu extends to rice dishes, gyoza, and Japanese sides. Daily opening from 11:30 AM means it serves both the lunch crowd and late evening diners.
