Kisuke is a six-seat omakase in Potts Point where Kochi-born chef Yusuke Morita and his wife present a deeply personal procession of traditional Japanese washoku dishes, changing daily according to what is seasonal and freshest. With 30 years of Sydney Japanese cooking and roots trained in Tokyo, Morita's is one of the city's quietest yet most extraordinary counters.

About
Chef Yusuke Morita was born in Kochi Prefecture on Japan's Shikoku Island, trained in the Japanese capital, and has been cooking traditional Japanese cuisine in Sydney since 1994. Kisuke, which he opened in 2020 with his wife at a converted space in Llankelly Place, Potts Point, holds just six seats around a counter where the full omakase — soups, sashimi, grilled dishes, steamed preparations, and sushi — unfolds over several hours. The menu shifts daily based on what is at peak quality, meaning no two evenings are alike. The omakase is priced at AUD 220 per person, placing it among Sydney's most generous value propositions at the top tier of Japanese dining. Bookings are released on the first of each month at 1pm and are accepted for groups of two, four, or six only. The restaurant accepts no dietary modifications, a commitment that underscores Morita's complete creative control over the dining experience.
