About
Tonkotsu Soho opened in 2012 as the passion project of Ken Yamada — originally from Shimoda, Shizuoka, Japan — and his co-founder Emma Reynolds, who honed their ramen craft through months of pop-ups before opening their first permanent site. Ken's Japanese heritage and the duo's extensive research trips across Japan inform every bowl; noodles are pressed fresh each day in their dedicated Noodle Room, and broths are built from scratch. The flagship Dean Street site captures the cramped, no-frills spirit of a Tokyo ramen-ya, earning a devoted following and recognition as one of London's defining noodle destinations. No Michelin stars, but widely regarded as the restaurant that triggered London's ramen revolution.
