Ivan Ramen London opened on 19 November 2025 as the first permanent UK restaurant from Ivan Orkin — the American chef who spent over 15 years in Japan, opened two acclaimed ramen shops in Tokyo, then brought his style to New York before London. Featured on Netflix's Chef's Table, Orkin's approach is deeply grounded in Japanese ramen tradition: slow-simmered tonkotsu, chicken paitan, spicy miso ramen and hand-crafted noodles. The intimate 26-seater on Farringdon Road — a partnership with Sessions — also introduces London-inspired specials such as a Salt Beef Bao riffing on East End flavours. Walk-in only; no reservations. Orkin qualifies under 'Japanese-led kitchen' as a non-Japanese founder formally trained and operating in Japan for over 15 years.
