About
Heddon Yokocho opened in early 2021 as the brainchild of Tak Tokumine — the Fukuoka-born founder of Japan Centre, who launched the group in London in 1976 — reimagining Japan's intimate yokocho bar alleys in the theatrical setting of Heddon Street, just off Regent Street. The neon-lit, paper-lantern-hung interior transports diners into a 1970s Showa-era ramen bar, offering a wide range of regional Japanese ramens from shio and miso to tori paitan and vegan variants, alongside sushi, hirata buns, sake and cocktails. The concept draws on Tokumine's lifetime of Japanese food expertise and the Japan Centre Group's deep relationships with Japanese producers. A basement Bar Kushi offers a more intimate drinking and dining experience.
