About
Owner Herr Tun opened Yakiniku Ganko in 2018 with a mission to introduce Vienna to the authentic yakiniku experience as practised in Japan: individual tabletop grills fitted with under-bench exhaust systems, premium Wagyu beef cuts imported to Japanese quality standards, and a self-grilling format that puts the pleasure of cooking in the hands of the guest. Falstaff awarded Ganko 85 points in recognition of its authentic concept and quality ingredients. The restaurant's success led to the opening of a second location at Heinrichsgasse 6 in December 2024.
