About
Ippudo was founded in 1985 by ramen legend Shigemi Kawahara in Fukuoka and went on to revolutionise tonkotsu ramen worldwide. Its Japanese parent, Chikaranomoto Holdings Co. Ltd., now operates over 400 stores in more than 15 countries. The first Shanghai location opened in 2012, bringing signature dishes Shiromaru Classic and Akamaru Modern directly from Japan to the city. The IAPM outlet upholds group-wide quality standards made in Japan.
