About
Rokko draws its name and identity from the mountain range overlooking Kobe — one of Japan's greatest food cities — and the owners' Kobe heritage is reflected in a kitchen that prizes precision and ingredient quality above all else. Chef Takehisa Haraguchi trained at prestigious Japanese restaurants before bringing his skills to Rome's Flaminio district, steps from the Tiber and Piazza del Popolo. The restaurant produces its own rice at a dedicated farm in Vercelli, Piedmont — using Japanese varieties — giving the sushi rice a character and freshness found nowhere else in Rome. Gambero Rosso recommends it consistently.
