About
Koya City launched in 2017 as the second branch of Japanese chef-owner Shuko Oda's acclaimed udon group, occupying a prime position in the Bloomberg Arcade near Bank. Designed with the same Japanese-minimalist aesthetic as the Soho original, the City branch expands the menu to include izakaya-style small plates — labelled IzaKoya specials — alongside the signature handmade udon, dashi, and donburi bowls. Oda's Japanese upbringing and training shapes a kitchen focused on restraint and quality: fresh noodles made in-house, seasonal specials written on the board each day, and a thoughtful selection of sake and draught beer. Counter seating and an all-day opening format suit the area's finance crowd and solo diners alike.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
  • Koya group's City branch in architecturally acclaimed Bloomberg Arcade
  • Extended izakaya plates alongside signature udon and dashi
