About
Torikizoku was founded in Osaka in 1985 by Tadashi Okura and has grown into Japan's largest yakitori izakaya chain, with over 650 locations. The concept is radically simple and quintessentially Japanese: every dish and drink at a single flat price. On 24 February 2025 the brand opened its first China store at Shanghai's Wujiaochang Wanda Plaza, bringing Japan's lively izakaya culture directly to the city. The Shanghai subsidiary is wholly operated by the listed Torikizoku Co., Ltd. (TSE) through its Chinese operating company.
