Naoko Aoki founded Ristorante Osaka in 1999 with support from the owner of the Osaka restaurant in Paris, and for over two decades it operated as the custodian of traditional Japanese dining in Milan — one of the few restaurants where ramen, sashimi, sushi, and sukiyaki coexist on a menu driven by seasonality and Japanese aesthetic principles. Chef Ikeda has led the kitchen for over 18 years, bringing uncompromising technique without pretension; sous chef Takimoto, with 20 years of experience from Osaka, adds depth to the brigade. Naoko Aoki is also a founding member of AIRG, the Italian Association of Japanese Restaurateurs, which certifies traditional authenticity. After 26 years at Corso Garibaldi, the restaurant relocated in early 2026 to Via Anfiteatro 6, a short walk away in the Brera/Moscova neighbourhood. The new space retains the minimalist counter bar where guests watch chefs prepare dishes in front of them. Set menus dominate at lunch; evenings expand to à la carte including sukiyaki.
