About
Wabi Sabi Miami opened in 2018, when restaurateur Alvaro Perez Miranda launched the first outpost of what would become the APM Restaurant Group on NE 79th Street — from the very beginning, in close collaboration with Japanese sushi master Masayuki Komatsu, who is also a key presence at Ogawa Miami. The concept — purist donburi, high-quality sushi rolls, and chirashi bowls — quickly built a loyal following and laid the foundation for all subsequent APM concepts. As of July 2025, the restaurant operates under the name Midorie 79th to unify the brand family.
