About
Yamazaki Baking Co. Ltd. was founded in Tokyo in 1948 and is today the world's largest bread-baking corporation (TSE Prime). In 2004 the company opened its first Shanghai outlet at the Jiuguang Department Store, introducing the Japanese bakery-cafe format to the city. Today Shanghai Yamazaki operates over 17 locations in Shanghai under direct Japanese corporate management. Every outlet uses recipes and ingredient standards from the Japanese parent company — from soft bread and mochi pastries to delicate Japanese confectionery.
