About
Yoshinari Ichise built Ramen Ryoma around a single obsession: Sapporo-style miso ramen crafted from the same recipe as his Japan restaurant. Born in Kyoto and trained in Japan's ramen culture, Ichise expanded to the US West Coast, opening in Oregon before bringing the concept to San Diego. Co-chef Ken Inoue shares Japanese culinary roots, keeping the kitchen authentically staffed. The Hillcrest and Pacific Beach locations operate as ramen izakayas — guests pair bowls with izakaya staples and a broad selection of craft beers. Late-night hours make Ryoma a favorite among San Diego's culinary insiders.
