About
Midorie was opened in 2023 by the APM Restaurant Group under restaurateur Alvaro Perez Miranda, in partnership with Japanese sushi master Masayuki Komatsu, as a sister restaurant to Wabi Sabi. Komatsu, who trained at Ogawa — one of Miami's most decorated Japanese fine-dining concepts — leads the kitchen and translates Japanese artisanal tradition into approachable donburi, temaki, and sashimi platters. The restaurant is a hidden gem tucked into the courtyard of the Grove Village complex and offers BYOB with no corkage fee.
Why it's on Washoku Guide
  • Donburi and sushi from a Japan-trained sushi master
  • BYOB with no corkage fee — rare in Miami
  • Hidden courtyard location in Grove Village
  • Exceptional quality at accessible prices

Midorie is the Coconut Grove concept of the APM Restaurant Group, sister to Wabi Sabi (79th St). As of July 2025, the 79th St location also operates under the Midorie name. — Authenticity: Japanese-led kitchen
