About
Aoki Teppanyaki Miami was opened by Kevin Aoki, eldest son of Benihana founder Hiroaki 'Rocky' Aoki (born 1938 in Tokyo), with the ambition of honoring his father's Japanese teppanyaki heritage through a modern interpretation. The flagship restaurant in Dadeland Mall, Kendall, combines classic teppanyaki theater with an izakaya menu and seasonal inaka dishes from Wakayama, the home region of the Aoki family in Japan.
