About
Hosokawa is one of Amsterdam's longest-serving Japanese restaurants, founded in 1992 by the eponymous Chef Hosokawa after he began his career as a master chef at the Okura Hotel in Japan — the same group behind Amsterdam's Yamazato and Sazanka. In 1992, he made the bold decision to open his own restaurant in the heart of Amsterdam, close to the Leidseplein, the Rijksmuseum and the Delamar theatre. Over more than three decades, Hosokawa has maintained a reputation for honest, quality Japanese cuisine with teppanyaki at the heart of the offer. Its longevity is itself a mark of quality in a competitive city.

- Chef trained at the Okura Hotel in Japan — the same pedigree as Michelin-starred Yamazato's parent group
- Central location near Leidseplein and the Rijksmuseum
- Three decades of consistent quality — one of Amsterdam's most trusted Japanese institutions
