About
When Horin opened at 1226 Robson Street in October 2018, Vancouver became the first city outside Japan to host this Fukuoka-born tonkotsu concept. The restaurant's signature lies in its house-made noodles and a distinctive chili tare—a spiced seasoning paste blended into the rich pork broth—that gives Horin's ramen a characteristic depth and warmth. Guests customise their bowl's broth thickness, noodle firmness, and spice level, much like ramen shops in Fukuoka. The sake menu offers a thoughtful complement to the bowl, maintaining the dual identity of the restaurant's name.
