About
Opened next door to his acclaimed Kitano Shokudo, Ohayo Café is chef Hiroshi Kitano's love letter to yoshoku, the Japanese genre of Western-influenced dishes reinterpreted through a Japanese sensibility. The compact, light-filled room on Avenue du Mont-Royal serves dishes such as keema curry with ground beef and pork, spicy vegan tantanmen, panko-fried shrimp burgers with yuzu mayo, and seasonal tamago sando. Kitano, who emigrated from Ise in Mie Prefecture, co-owns the café with Samath Mom. The coffee program features specialty roasters and the café maintains vegetarian and vegan options throughout the menu. It is open every day for breakfast and lunch service.
