About
Taro Brewer Street opened on 10 September 1999, the realisation of Mr. Taro's vision after first arriving in London in 1979 to introduce authentic Japanese food to the capital. Conceived as a 'Taishū Shokudō' — an everyday Japanese dining room — the Brewer Street original has grown into a six-branch group spanning Soho, Pimlico, Walthamstow and beyond. The Japanese-led kitchen serves honest bento boxes, sashimi, gyudon, ramen and seasonal specials at prices that have resisted London inflation. No Michelin recognition.
