About
Shiro opened at Liverpool Street's Broadgate Circle in November 2022 as the fifth London venue of the Aqua Restaurant Group and the brand's first UK outpost. Originally from Hong Kong, Shiro is inspired by Tokyo's food districts — Ginza, Shinjuku and Shibuya — and overseen by head chef Ken Miyake, a chef of Japanese heritage who grew up in Spain and has spent nearly two decades working in UK kitchens. His signature 'crystal sushi' — Edomae nigiri set in vibrant yuzu and ponzu jelly — is unavailable elsewhere in London and has become a City dining sensation. The all-day restaurant and bar, steps from Liverpool Street station, also serves 48-hour pork-broth ramen and unlimited sushi brunch at weekends.
