About
Cube Mayfair was opened by chef-owner Takamasa Mogi, who trained in Japan before working at Nobu London. The restaurant occupies a ground-floor sushi counter and dining room, with a lower-ground Kakurega (hideaway) bar serving cocktails, rare sake and Japanese whisky. Mogi's menu blends traditional sushi technique with European seasonal ingredients, and the evening omakase — comprising appetisers, ten pieces of chef's daily nigiri, a temaki and dessert — is the centrepiece offering. The restaurant also operates Sushi Kyu in Soho as a sister venue, where its chefs are trained. Cube represents an authentic, Japanese-owned fine dining destination in the heart of Mayfair.
