About
Ueno Omakase takes its name from the historic Ueno Park in Tokyo, where chefs Tiago Claro and Marcos Pereira were inspired to bring Japan's seasonal omakase ritual to Lisbon. Opened in February 2025, the 10-seat counter serves a 15-moment progression priced at €75 per person — one of Lisbon's most accessible fine omakase experiences. Claro and Pereira are bronze medalists at the Japan Sushi Competition 2023, a serious international competition, bringing competition-level technique to a neighbourhood restaurant in Arroios. Fish is sourced directly from Sesimbra fishermen on the Atlantic coast, with sake pairing available.
