About
Hikidashi has been a landmark of authentic Japanese cooking in Campo de Ourique since 2014. Chef-owner Agnaldo Ferreira is Brazilian, but his training was exclusively under Japanese masters in São Paulo from 1997, and he made a dedicated research trip to Japan to study street food and grilled preparations before opening the restaurant. The result is a broad traditional menu served at a long wooden sushi counter, with showcooking and both raw and hot Japanese preparations. Time Out Lisbon calls it 'one of the most authentic Japanese restaurants in the city.' The location next to the Casa Fernando Pessoa makes it a cultural destination as much as a culinary one.
