Born as a 'community project' during the pandemic by Wagyumafia founder Hisato Hamada, Yakinikumafia channels the parent brand's obsessive Japanese wagyu sourcing into a walk-in, reservation-friendly yakiniku experience on Hollywood Road. Unlike the members-only Wagyumafia flagship in Wan Chai, Yakinikumafia is accessible to all — accepting up to 250 monthly reservations — while maintaining the same commitment to Ozaki Wagyu, the rarest single-farm wagyu in Japan, sourced directly from Muneharu Ozaki's farm in Miyazaki. Head chef Yohei Yamamoto trained within the Wagyumafia ecosystem and brings Japanese grill mastery to the Hollywood Centre second-floor space, where exposed brickwork and casual bar seating give the experience a more neighbourhood feel. The dual-format service — weekday dinner only, weekend lunch and dinner — caters to both after-work gatherings and leisurely weekend wagyu sessions.
