About
Norihiko Sakamoto founded Sakamotoya with a singular mission: to bring the highest-quality Japanese food and drink to Europe. A former sommelier in Tokyo and Singapore with deep expertise in Japanese spirits, teas, ceramics, and ikebana, Sakamoto curates a uniquely holistic Japanese experience across several Warsaw locations. The Zgoda store sells premium sake, organic teas under his MON TEA label, and imported pantry staples sourced directly from Japanese producers. The Tamka street-food stand serves freshly made onigiri, miso dishes, and bento to go, while the Włochy bento branch extends the reach. Sakamotoya's cultural space Hanare by Sakamoto-ya also runs Japanese language classes and cultural events, making this the cultural heart of Warsaw's Japanese community.
