About
Tokoton Ramen is the project of a trio of Japanese chefs who describe themselves simply as '3 Japanese guys with a passion for finding ways of cooking simple, fresh and authentic food.' The name Tokoton means 'thoroughly' in Japanese — an ethos that extends to every element of the menu, from house-made ramen soups cooked for hours to gyoza prepared by hand. Located on Bartholomew Street close to Elephant and Castle and Borough, the restaurant offers an unusually inclusive menu where every single dish is available in a vegan version, paired with a thoughtful selection of sake and Japanese beers. Low prices, warm hospitality and genuine Japanese ownership make it one of south London's most authentic ramen spots.
