About
The Aubrey opened inside the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park in 2021 as a collaboration between the hotel group and Hong Kong's Maximal Concepts. Head sushi chef Miho Sato, the UK's only holder of a Japan National Professional Cooking Sushi Certificate obtained in 1997, leads a kitchen renowned for Edomae sushi technique, sustainable sourcing, and dishes such as snow crab rolls with passion fruit and wagyu tartare sashimi with black garlic. The space — adorned with over 250 pieces of Japonistic art — channels the spirit of Tokyo's Ginza district through a maze of intimate areas, an omakase bar, and a 12-seat private dining room. Repeatedly voted London's best Japanese restaurant by Condé Nast Traveller and Country and Town House, The Aubrey hosts resident DJs nightly and serves a free-flowing brunch every weekend.
