About
Kanada-Ya Westfield opened in July 2024 — the sixth London branch of the ramen concept founded in 2009 by Kazuhiro Kanada in Yukuhashi, Fukuoka. The 86-cover restaurant at Westfield London, Shepherd's Bush, features an open-plan kitchen and both indoor and outdoor dining, making it the largest and most spacious Kanada-Ya in London. Founder Kazuhiro Kanada, who gave up a career as a professional cyclist to perfect his single-recipe ramen, maintains independent ownership of all UK sites and oversees consistency of the 18-hour tonkotsu broth that has made the brand one of London's most critically lauded ramen specialists. The Westfield opening was preceded by a 50%-off soft launch on 29–31 July 2024, underscoring the continued demand for the brand's Fukuoka-origin tonkotsu in London.
