Inspired by Ginza's worker-friendly basement watering holes where suits loosen and plates pile up, Fukuro channels the unruly conviviality of Tokyo's izakaya culture into a SoHo space that is permanently packed from opening to close. Since 2024, head chef Kazunari Araki — affectionately known as Chef Kazu — has led the kitchen with Japanese technique and a commitment to izakaya fundamentals: small plates designed for sharing, robust flavours and a drinks list that rewards long evenings. The menu rotates seasonally, with consistent standouts across yakitori skewers, izakaya classics and creative plates that reflect Kazu's Japanese culinary heritage. Walk-in only for parties of three or fewer; parties of four or more can book the omakase tasting menu.
