About
Daikichi Foods India Pvt Ltd launched its flagship izakaya in March 2011, making it one of the pioneer authentic Japanese restaurants in NCR. Co-founded by Yukio Nishimagi — a Japanese food consultant with a mission to replicate Japan-quality dining abroad — the restaurant holds Embassy of Japan certification (#028) and has participated in official Embassy cuisine events demonstrating futomaki rolls. The compact JMD Regent Arcade space fills with Japanese expats nightly; staff communicate in Japanese and the kitchen handpicks chefs from Japan (The Week, 2019). Now operating as Daikichi-Manami, the restaurant has expanded its udon and ramen repertoire while retaining the soul of a classic izakaya.
