Owned and operated by Yokohama-based Reins International (株式会社レインズインターナショナル), Gyu-Kaku brought the Japanese yakiniku tradition to Streeterville as its Illinois flagship. Each table is fitted with a smokeless charcoal grill, and a broad menu spans 21-day-aged harami skirt steak, prime kalbi short rib, A5 wagyu, pork belly and fresh seafood—all marinated in Japanese sauces such as miso, sweet soy tare and shio. An extensive happy-hour program runs throughout the day, and a premium all-you-can-eat option is available Sunday through Saturday during lunch and early evening.
